Eve Granatosky, Ph.D.

Eve@lewis-burke.com

Dr. Eve Granatosky combines her scientific background and first-hand experience in the federal government to help clients achieve their advocacy goals. She leverages her in-depth knowledge of federal agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and other agencies supporting research in the health and life sciences, to support clients in relationship-building, competing for funding opportunities, and shaping emerging programs. Beyond her core expertise in biomedical research, Eve also assists researchers and research organizations with interdisciplinary priorities, builds connections across agencies, and provides unique insights into policies and opportunities that might otherwise be overlooked. As a trained scientist and former Hill staffer, she has an appreciation for the nuances of research, policy, and politics, empowering her to effectively represent client interests across the federal science landscape.

Issue Expertise: Biomedical research, research policy, basic life sciences, graduate STEM education, environmental health, infectious disease, and biotechnology

Additional Experience: Prior to joining Lewis-Burke, Eve was selected for the Genetics and Public Policy Fellowship through the American Society of Human Genetics and the National Human Genome Research Institute.  Through this fellowship, she worked in policy offices at both the NIH and within a professional scientific society.  The fellowship also took Eve to Capitol Hill, where she worked as a Legislative Fellow for Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal and covered health, education, and biomedical research issues.  During her doctoral training, Eve led grassroots student efforts to promote science policy and advocacy on her university campus and co-founded the Science Policy Initiative at the University of Notre Dame.

Vital Statistics: Eve earned her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, where she studied pre-clinical drug development for neurodegenerative diseases and developed a deep appreciation for Fighting Irish sports. She also holds a B.S. from Stonehill College, where she majored in biochemistry and minored in dance. Eve was born and raised in Groton, Connecticut and enjoys yoga, crossword puzzles, and the New England Patriots.
